Manchester-based Catch92’s music sees majestically restrained boom bap beats collide with luscious loops creating a rough and rich sound reminiscent of times past, yet remaining forward-thinking enough to bring it to the forefront of today.

Influence has come to Catch92 through a whole spectrum of music, growing up with Rock in one ear, Motown & Soul in the other, and his teen years spent listening and raving to Drum and Bass, Dubstep & Grime. Hip Hop was the main constant and is definitely where Catch92’s heart and soul lives, this is evident through the 10 plus years of making music and inevitably finding solace in Lofi, dusty and heavy looped sounds.

As a natural branch from making beats and after years of combining Lyrics & Production under the umbrella Catch92, he has decided now is the perfect time to make use of the alias 9two for any lyrical endeavours into the distinctive rustic poetry that has been prevalent on his past releases.

Working along side Aviary Bridge Records has brought success with his debut album 'Capricious' gaining several BBC Introducing spins, hitting multiple Spotify editorial playlists and winning him a host of new fans. His emotive jazzy beats caught the ear of Asta Hiroki and led to the first Catch92 national radio play in 2020 in Hiroki's 'Introspective Block Party guest mix' for Huey Morgan on BBC 6Music.

With a tireless work ethic and many more releases already scheduled in this looks to be just the start of things for this producer.

Catch92 will be releasing his forthcoming 'Wander EP' via Folded Music early 2022.
